Less stress, more sleep

I love this age group, it seems like our baby’s are learning something new almost every day! It is also an age that can be tricky when it comes to sleep.

Changing sleep needs and phases of development can all play a part in making sleep feel more challenging.

Perhaps sleep had been going well but now naps, bedtime and nights are going off track?

Or sleep might have been a struggle for a while and now feels like the right time for you to make some changes?

This course is for all the parents who are struggling with sleep at the moment.

It will help you support your baby to fall asleep in their own cot, find a great routine so that naps are predictable (and stress free!) and enjoy easier bedtimes and nights.

So you can have some time to yourself during naps and in the evening, and sleep better too!

I share practical tips you can action right away to overcome your sleep challenges, including how to…

Understand your baby’s sleep needs and work with them, so your baby can fall asleep independently.

Create an ideal routine that works for your family – including working out when and how to drop down to one nap.

Setup a sleep environment that helps your baby sleep more easily, and for longer.

Support your baby to fall asleep in a different way – with a choice of approaches to suit your parenting style.

This course can help you with your baby’s sleep whether you breastfeed, bottle feed or combi-feed.

How you choose to feed your baby is exactly that, your choice. We include suggested daily routines in this course which can help shape a rhythm to feeds during the day, but you do not need to feed by the clock, withhold feeds or change your feeding method to achieve improved sleep.

Some babies need night feeds for longer than others. You can carry on night feeds for as long as they are needed, and still make improvements to sleep.

Our methods cover a range of factors that can impact on sleep, to allow families to make decisions on if and how they want to make sleep changes.

So how do we approach it? If you are ready to make a change to sleep we suggest looking at the following areas:

  • Sleep environment – is this set up to optimise sleep? Is there anything potentially disturbing or disrupting sleep?
  • Routine. Creating a routine that meets your child’s current day and night time sleep needs.
  • Looking at how your baby  currently falls asleep and deciding if this is working well for you as a family, or if there are some changes you want to make.
  • Decide on an approach to making changes to how your child falls asleep that suits you and your little one.

This course walks you through each of these areas to help you identify which sleep changes will help your baby, and how to put them in place.

We include a choices of settling methods in the course so you can choose an approach that suits your baby’s temperament and your parenting style.

For some families, sleep can be improved simply by making changes to their baby’s routine and sleep environment.

Others may need support in learning to fall asleep in a new way. When we make changes there can be some crying – it is how our babies communicate with us. We can respond and give support whilst changing boundaries.

The course includes different approaches you can use to settling to sleep in a new way, and supporting your baby to sleep. You can choose the method that feels right for you and your baby.
